Digital scrapbook: Microsoft’s touch-controlled “Family Archive”

A prototype device for storing and organizing photos, memorabilia and even images of knickknacks was demonstrated at Microsoft’s 2009 TechFest by David Kirk, a researcher who built the thing at his lab in Cambridge, England. After showing how you can move photos around “by hand” he adds a pair of souvenir clogs to a collection.
